ONE HUNDRED SOUND WORKS BY ONE HUNDRED ARTISTS FROM THE 21ST CENTURY

Brand Identity, Print Collateral, Publication, Exhibition Design

Presented as part of the 2009 Museum of Old and New Art (MONA) FOMA festival and the Melbourne International Arts Festival, 21:100:100 features 100 works by 100 sound artists produced in the 21st century. This exhibition was the first significant survey in Australia to explore and chronicle the extraordinary developments that have occurred in contemporary sound art.

FOD worked in collaboration with Gertrude Contemporary, Alexie Glass-Kantor and internationally-acclaimed Australian artists, Oren Ambarchi and Marco Fusinato, on both the event, exhibition and supporting publication. With works played on headphones suspended within the gallery, the Science of Sound and its associated Technology informed the overarching identity, visual language and typography that encompassed the wide range of works – a strong visual identity for a show that contained no visual content.
