Herman Miller is synonymous with modernist style and has some of the world’s most iconic furniture pieces to their credit. As a multidimensional brand activation campaign, we conceived and created the Then X Ten exhibition; a celebration of the company’s enduring relationship with design, graphics and advertising through the medium of poster art.

We curated a series of new commissions by ten of the worlds leading contemporary image-makers to exhibit alongside ten of the most iconic posters from the Herman Miller archive. The travelling exhibition was launched in Melbourne by design icon and Herman Miller creative director, Steve Frykholm, as part of Saturday InDesign. In addition to designing the event identity and print collateral we customised a scaffolding 'cross-form' and hanging system for each of the newly commissioned works.

Featuring illustrated posters by: Eda Akaltun, Emily Forgot, Genevieve Gauckler,Sanghon Kim, Petra Mrzyk and Jean-François Moriceau, Felix Pfaffli, Keiichi Tananmi, Kam Tang, Craig Redman and Karl Maier, Jonathan Zawada
