Space Furniture is a pioneer in multi-brand furniture retailing. They tasked us with creating visual experiences for their new ‘store of the future’ and a distinct visual language for the Space brand.

Our design response for the showroom was large-scale illuminated super-graphics, working in conjunction with Nik Karalis, Woods Bagot. Influenced by Superstudio, Branzi and Pop Art, the image series represents a Utopian city inspired by the futuristic architectural ideals of the 60’s and 70’s. Imaginary and optical space informed the theme of the second super-graphic that created the effect of an interior of multiple perspectives and levels.

This project also established the on-going use of retro-influenced collage as integral to the Space Furniture graphic vernacular and visual identity.
