TAXONOMY OF DESIGN

Aesop challenged us to conceive and design an online hub which celebrated their design story through each unique and immersive store around the world. Our response was Taxonomy of Design, a dissection of Aesop’s design philosophy, telling a rich story layered through the categorisation and classification of the brand’s elemental parts. We then designed a digital compendium which brought our concept to life, revealing each of Aesop’s signature stores and paying tribute to the creative processes, materials and features that distinguish each space. The ultimate brand encyclopaedia, users are encouraged to navigate their own journey through the site, exploring the individual elements which they are drawn to.
