Presented as part of the 2008 Melbourne International Arts Festival, 21:100:100 features 100 works by 100 sound artists produced in the 21st century. This exhibition is the first significant survey in Melbourne to explore and chronicle the extraordinary developments that have occurred in contemporary sound art.

Working in collaboration with Gertrude Contemporary Art Spaces and internationally-acclaimed Australian artists, Oren Ambarchi and Marco Fusinato, the event publication drew on notions of time and sequence, stereophonic sound and the eclectic, yet often collaborative practice of sound art. The publication design embodies the historical confluence of genres, styles, forms and emanations of the exhibition, taking influence and acknowledgment of the fact that time is limited and that time is the primary matter of sound.

Curation: Oren Ambarchi, Emily Cormack, Marco Fusinato, Alexie Glass-Kantor
